What colors to choose?
Harmony can be described as the pleasing arrangement of parts. In music we think of a soothing sound; when applied to color it is the eyes that experience pleasure as the viewer is engaged and finds a certain sense of order and balance. Color and design when mixed properly can achieve this harmony.
When designing a website or logo we are careful to choose the appropriate color palette for the desired impression. Your industry and desired corporate impression are the primary infuencers in our decision. People are infleunced by color so it is important to keep in mind what influence you want your design to have.
Without getting overly technical the chart on the right gives some basic color choices and the affect they have on the majority of viewers. It is something to keep in mind when deciding on your final color palette. |
